A Full-Color Holographic System Based on Taylor Rayleigh–Sommerfeld Diffraction Point Cloud Grid Algorithm

Real objects-based full-color holographic display systems usually collect data with a depth camera and then modulate the input light source to reconstruct color three-dimensional scene of real object. However, at present, main problems real-time high quality 3D are slow speed, low reconstruction quality, consumption hardware resources caused by excessive computing. Based on hybrid Taylor Rayleigh–Sommerfeld diffraction algorithm previous studies systems, our paper proposes point cloud grid (TR-PCG), which is perform expansion radial value in hologram generation stage modify type effectively accelerate calculation speed ensure quality. Compared wave-front recording plane, traditional gridding (PCG), C-PCG, PCG without expansion, computational complexity significantly reduced. We demonstrate feasibility proposed method through experiments.
